Isometric Exercises
Strength Training Made Easy

What are isometric exercises?

Believe it or not, this is a commonly known form of exercise where you tighten the muscles without moving the joints.

This reduces the amount of stress that's placed on the joints while firming, strengthening, and toning the muscle.

Individuals with high blood pressure should use caution when performing these exercises. Although blood pressure returns to normal shortly after completing, it spikes enough during the exercise to warrant concern.

The most common examples include:

  • Plank bridge
  • Side bridge
  • Push-up
  • Shoulder raises
  • Squats
  • Calf raises
  • Leg extensions
  • Hip extensions
  • Hundred breaths
Most of these exercises don't require any equipment and can be done in the privacy of your own home.

Eat A Healthy, Well-Balanced Diet

Remember, it's not just about how active you are. Take the time to eat properly.

A well balanced diet is essential, especially if you are exercising on a daily basis.
